The owner was great that is why I'm giving a 3 star rating. First off the website and pictures do not reflect the place. There was very little green area for tenting. The convenience store was never open. And I'm not going to start on the fact the the river wasn't even there. And it looked like the garbages hadn't been emptied in weeks.
This is a very exciting place to be. Good clean and fun campground. People are super friendly. Owners are great people. Full power units with sewage and water. The rates are decent. If I were u I would stay here for a while. I might even think of moving here. Thanks for the fun times.
This place is a hidden gem. Amazing experience, amazing location, amazing price. There is a good coffee shop a five minute walk or a one minute drive away. The river is right there. There is natural Hot Springs cliff jumping and other swimming all within a 20 minute drive. If you dont stay here when youre coming through you are dumb. Bike friendly, family-friendly, tenting and trailer camping. Showers and wash room is available, three, and super clean. The host is super easy to deal with and really hospitable. Everything you need.
Great place to camp the sites are very spaces. The location is easy to find. It was a great place to spend a couple of days while I was rediscovering a town and surroundings Ive not been to in 18 years. The owners were very helpful. I will definitely be recommending to any one I whos passing thru.
Definitely not presented the way the website depicts of the campground. Kelly is super friendly but seems to be disorganized. In his defence, he runs the whole campground, cafe and store with his wife, Kate - maybe it is time to hire more staff. When we booked, there was no confirmation sent out, it was often hard to get a hold of him via text, phone or email. The campground for the RV section is very run down and the sites are very close together. The tent sites are nice with lots of trees and greenery to offer privacy. It is a close walk to the river, there are laundry and shower facilities on site. There is a "playground" (hardly) that features a very old swing set and a slide for toddlers. The campground has many friendly patrons that are very welcoming.
